An extremely strong and stout wakizashi igned, Bungo ju Fujiwara Noriyuki Saku. Shinogizukure, iroi mune, modest sori, chu kissaki. Hawatare: 1 shaku 4 sun 5 bu (43.9 cm. / 17.3"). Motohaba: 3.33 cm. Sakihaba: 2.39. Kasane: 7.2 mm. Ko nie based hitatsura, gunome, notare, tobiyaki, Muneyaki, ashi iri, gifu, kinsuji, nado. Itame nagare with some mokume mixed in, ji nie, nado. Mounted in shirasaya with a solid silver habaki. NBTHK Koshu kanteisho.
Early Edo around Tenna (1681). Bungo is next to Hizen province, where the Nabeshima Daimyo employed the Tadayoshi / Tadahiro smiths, and imported iron billets from Holland. The Hizen smiths incorporated tamahagane into tis namban tetsu, so their jigane differed considerably from that of the Takada.
