An important and massive tsuba signed, Yasui Iyetsugu Saku.  An ishime ground decorated with hot stamped kiri, gold nunome of bound sieves, and a hammered rim. The plate is a deeper black than pictured.  The condition is 100%.  This is a bit of a rarity, as Robert Haynes could not find a reference to this particular artist, although the family and work style is well known,  8.27 cm x 8.1 cm x 7.9 mm at the mimi, which is about 1 mm wider than the plate itself.   from the Fred Lohman collection.              $1,100
