An interesting tsuba of a shakudo bat and lightening on very dense, well forged ishime iron plate, with tekotsu. Great color and condition. An exceptionally large kogai ana, and small kozuka ana. Signed, Mito ju Sangoryo saku (sango formal kanji for thirty-five). Another smith that seems to have fallen out of the dictionaries, and another that will appear in the next Haynes' reference work on signatures. 7.48 cm x 7 cm x 7.1 mm. $300
