Japanese Artist's or Calligrapher's Paperweight

Called a Bunchin (文鎮) this is an unusual signed, cast iron Japanese calligrapher's paperweight in the form of a tsuba, picturing two ducks on the water.  Circa. 1750, as per Robert Haynes.  The first kanji is unclear, signed  _?_hiro.  Judging from the profuse tekotsu, this was made from sand iron, not a factory billet.   7.56 cm x 7.58 cm x 4.9 mm.  An unusual piece of historical utilitarian art.           $250
