Tosho Snow on Bamboo Tsuba

A tosho tsuba with the design of snow on bamboo in sukashi. 7.96 cm x 7.9 cm x 2.4 mm at the mimi and 4.1 mm at the seppa dai. Lead sekigane with decorative punch marks. Granular tekotsu. Excellent velvety surface, wonderful color and condition. Momoyama period. This is very similar to my TS0282, however the design, execution, plate, and condition are far superior in this example. I also think that it predated the other example. Never submitted to shinsa. Boxed. $925.
