An iron tsuba with brass inlay 7 cm x 6.2 cm x 4 mm.  As per Robert Haynes, Suruga 1500 to 1550.  Suruga worked in Inaba province.  Excellent condition Unlike so many, this has not been over cleaned and has five hundred years of patina with the exception of two spots on the front were I removed active rust.  I don't know what he inlay represents, but I am pretty sure it is not the anatomical image tat my daughter suggested.                            $350
