A dai-sho set by Shigenobu. Signed Shoami Shigenobu Very black dense iron with the classic Shigenobu sukashi clouds. Nice surface treatment of crossed lines with bulbous ends, which I have no idea what they represent/ Excellent condition. Boxed,

There were at least three generations of Shoami Shigenobu, working in Iwashiro. They worked 1650 - 1700. Ref Robert Haynes, Nihon Tosho Kinko Dai Jiten.
