An ubu wakizashi by the fifth generation Kinmichi signed, 日本鍛冶宗匠 近江守金道 Nihon kaji shoho / [kiku] Iga no Kami Fujiwara Kinmichi. Ubu, shinogizukure, chu kissaki, Hawatare: 1 saku 7 sun 7 bu. ( 53/64 cm . 21.12 "). Motohaba: 2.9 cm. Sakihaba: 2 cm. Kasane: 5 mm. Wide chu suguba in nie deki. The jigane is a tight itame. In high grade shirasaya with sayagaki signed with a kakihan. NBTHK kanteisho dated September 10, 1953. Ref. Shinto Taikan. In decent older polish. Gilt copper habaki.
Sayagaki note: 當大刀認定書付 (Long sword accompanied by a certificate of authentication) Nihonto Meikan lists ten generation of this Mishina school from Yamashiro province. This is the work of the fifth, working aroud Horeki (1751 - 1754).
