A kozuka signed Furukawa Genchin. Shibuichi with katakiri bori and kei bori. Good condition, with a little wear at either end. Circa 1715. He is said to be a student of the first generation Yokoya Somin, and the father of Jochin. He wasa a prolific artist and made many kozuka with katakiri style carving. Ref. Haynes H 00565.0.
