A tsuba by Akasaka Tadashige, circa 1730 - 1816. 7.76 cm x 7.43 cm x 5.2 mm. Akasaka Tadashige was the brother of the second Tadatoki, a student of Tadamune. A beautiful deep velvety black patina. which is unfortunately reflective making photography difficult. There is graining and martinsite crystals throughout the surface. NBTHK Hozon Kanteisho.
